"San Francisco is home to some of the most innovative entrepreneurs and companies the world has ever known. Our initiative is unique because we are trying to realize a vision that is about the common good; it’s about the human and civic element. We are not just building an application to solve a particular use-case or alleviate a particular pain point. Our goal for San Francisco is to create a platform of real products and solutions that improve people’s day to day lives. We want to build a blueprint for other cities to follow as well.”

- Jay Nath, Chief Innovation Officer for the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Civic Innovation (MOCI)
